Video: Tiwa Savage Pays Special Tribute to Zara Gretti with Tears

The artiste community will mourn this beautiful songstress for quite some time with many Nigerian artistes taking to their individual platforms to celebrate Zara Gretti’s eventful life in many ways.
‘I just want to sing this song for Zara’ Tiwa said, as she took time out of her exciting performance at Star Music Trek Makurdi to give an emotional tribute to the late singer with the classic song ‘Missing You’ originally done by The Police.
The beautiful songstress, spoke on Zara’s short but eventful impact on her own life and moved the audience to tears as she poured praise on the singer who had touched her positively even though they had met ‘only a few times’.
Margaret Mary Oluwatoyin Ejiro Joseph, better known as Zara Gretti, died after a two year battle with Multiple Sclerosis on March 28th 2014 and was buried on April 4th 2014 at Ikoyi Cemetery Lagos

Funeral Mass: Time: 10am (No African Time). Date: Friday April 4th. Venue: Holy Cross Cathedral (Opp City Hall) Lagos Island. Interment follows after at Ikoyi Cemetery. Dress Code: White attire only.

PAINFUL: Nobody Paid Condolence Visit To The Family Of Late Singer Zara

 Family members of the late Nigerian singer Zara Gretti, who passed away at her home in Ogba, Lagos, on March 28, 2014, lament that none of her friends or colleagues have paid a condolence visit since.

"Nobody has come here since she died, you are the first person. Thank you," one of the relatives who asked his name not to be disclosed, told NET correspondent having come to their Lagos residence.
However, numerous celebrities and media personalities took to their social pages to pay tribute to
Zara Gretti, who had been battling multiple sclerosis for years.
According to the family members, the burial date will be fixed soon.

Yemisi Ilo, a creative consultant and project manager, says she's been living with Multiple Sclerosis for nearly 10 years and feels that Zara Gretti’s situation shouldn’t have deteriorated to the point of death. She feels ignorance and not MS killed the singer, who passed away on Friday March 28th about a year after making her illness public. Read what Yemisi wrote below...

Nigerian singer Zara Gretti dies after long battle with Multiple Sclerosis

Really sad news. Singer Margaret Mary Oluwatoyin Ejiro Joseph popularly known as Zara Gretti has died. She died this morning in Nigeria after a battle with Multiple Sclerosis. (MS is an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord).

Her last tweet last night was "I love and hate my life". She died a few hours later, this morning. She was only 28 years old. Zara, may your beautiful soul rest in perfect peace. This is so sad!
